Toronto, Ontario

Two weeks ago, we spent the weekend in Toronto! We left Friday night, and left Sunday morning. We didn't have a bunch of time.. but we made the most of it. :)

Awesome view from our hotel room.

Saturday morning we took the trolley to the CN Tower!

..but first, we stopped at the hot dog truck. One of the best hot dogs I've ever had.

I never realized how big it was.

This here is a Mountie moose. How Canadian on a scale of one to a thousand?!

 And up we went!

Glass floor.. not that you can really see it. It was kinda trippy!

We went on a roller coaster.. kind of. It was a simulator. Still a bunch of fun though!

 The Canadian Times Square.

Downtown Toronto right next to the Eaton Center where we went shopping!

 CN Tower from our hotel.

This was a spontaneous shot from the car on the drive back home. I just kinda snapped it quickly.. and it turned out to be one of my favorite shots. :)

Atwater Market

We went to the Atwater Market again today (not to be confused with the Jean-Talon Market!), you might remember my old pictures from December (which are here, though not many because it was rather chilly and not as many fresh fruits and veggies!). It was quite nice, lots of fruits, veggies, and flowers!

Last Train Home

All good things come to an end. Unfortunately on Saturday, I headed home from Pennsylvania. Although I was excited to go home again, I was also sad to part with amazing friends! I'll miss it a lot, but the main thing is I had a great week. :)
These pictures were taken on the train on the way back, the last two being the Montreal skyline.

Philadelphia: Part Two

This would be Philadelphia in a nutshell. We went to the downtown area, and got pictures of the skyline, which is my personal favorite part! We also went to boathouse row, which was neat to see all lit up. I quite enjoyed Philly, beautiful city!

Crescent Street Festival and More

Today was the F1 (in case you are not aware, it's Formula One, the racecar thingy) Crescent Festival in downtown Montreal we usually have once a year. It was pretty boring, it used to be better in the past, which is why I don't have many pictures from it! Faber Drive had a concert there later on in the evening, however it was super packed (80,000 people!) and there was no way I was getting in the crowd. So I stayed on the sidelines, pretty far away but managed to get a few shots I'm happy with! Yay for superzoom cameras! It was a good show, too!
The other pictures are just random ones I got of a few flowers and Jake in the backyard. My favorite though is the buttercup against the blue sky, I love it!
PS: New blog look! I swear this is the last time I'm changing the layout, I FINALLY got something I'm happy with, I love it.

Downtown Montreal

Today it was 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit) and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. So we spent Good Friday downtown which was so nice, it felt good to be out in a t-shirt again. We went down Crescent Street (the last photo) and walked all the way down until we had enough. It was bustling with people who came out of Montreal hibernation, which was to be expected! After that we cooled down and got slushes at Dairy Queen, which were surprisingly not bad! I would have had ice cream...but it's Passover. That ends on Monday night, though, so all is good! Tomorrow we're off to Old Montreal (this time in the spring where it's not -20 degrees Celsius!) so I'm quite excited! Look out for an update tomorrow. :)
