Botanical Gardens & Biodome

Last month, I spent a weekend at Jared & Shanna's and we went to the Botanical Gardens and the Biodome (we also watched a bunch of movies and all that other sibling bonding stuff!).
The topiary gardens were gorgeous. This one was based on Hachi. :)
The fall colors were also really gorgeous.
Olympic Stadium. Sadly nothing really goes on there anymore.
One of the many greenhouses!
They had Bonsai trees up to 100 years old!
The Japanese lanterns! We saw them at night last year. :)
This one called "The Tree of Life" was the biggest. The detail was incredible.
The next day we were off to the Biodome!
Turkey vulture!
I love the flamingos.
We actually saw a beaver there! Every single time I've gone, they were hiding.
Pretty lynx!
Puffins!!!
The penguins are always my favorite part. Best for last.
It was a great weekend!
The December Photo Project starts tomorrow.. See you then! :)
(P.S. This was my 200th post!)

Dad & Wendy's Wedding | 4.27.13

In April, these two finally got married. It was a gorgeous (and fun!) wedding, and I couldn't ask for a better stepfamily. Which y'know.. ends up just being family. Which is wonderful.

After they said their vows, and put their sand in, all the kids (kids.. haha we're all adults but you know what I mean!) gathered around for the sand ceremony. My dad and Wendy really wanted this to be apart of the wedding to finally tie both sides together, and it was so beautifully done.

Wendy and her daughter-in-law/wedding planner, Shanna!

My new stepsister!! But I just call her my sister.. just 'cause.

Me in a dress doesn't happen very often.. ha.

The table setting was gorgeous. Between the colors and the flowers? Ahhhh.

 Wendy's speech.

 Sweetheart table!

Jared had such a funny speech!!

 First dance. :)

I didn't plan this one. My camera had a different idea, haha.

 Time to party!

My dad and my bubby. Look at 'em go!
It was a wonderful night, and went too fast! I'm glad I was able to capture the majority of it through my lens before it ended though. :)
