Finally blogging about my trip that took place a month and a half ago... better late than never, right?
We drove to Plattsburgh, and flew out on May 3rd to Ft. Lauderdale!
Leaving New York was gloomy and cold.. and landing in Florida was sunny and hot. The comparison is pretty neat.
The first day was more of a poolside, unpacking-in-the-hotel, relaxing day since we were pretty pooped after waking up at 4-5 AM to drive to Plattsburgh for breakfast (AT FRIENDLY'S!) for 6ish.
The second day, however, was BEACHBEACHBEACH which was lovely. :) Our hotel was really close to the beach (like, not even a five minute walk) which made it really convenient to just take my camera (and sunscreen) and go!
This was my first time in Ft. Lauderdale, which was a really difference experience than Orlando. A lot more beach and a lot less Disney World which made for a very relaxing two days before we sailed away.
My dad enjoying the beach.
The weather before we cruised was just gorgeous, the weather when we came back to Florida afterwards? Not so much.
I love the foamy waves.
I also really love going up and down the shoreline finding seashells.
This was the next morning. Gorgeous rays. I love this shot. Part one of Florida comes to an end. That morning, May 5th, we packed up and we were off to Port Everglades to board the Carnival Freedom!
