December 25 | Christmas Day

Nothing like waking up at the crack of dawn and sitting around the living room as a family to open gifts.

Video games and TV shows (and eating my stash of candy that's not pictured!) will be all I'm doing on break!

Wendy put up a bird feeder not too long ago, so we always enjoy sitting and watching the birds.

After the excitement of presents and watching the birds, Christmas breakfast was in order.

We had our usual Christmas breakfast, french toast and bacon. :)

After the majority of the afternoon playing video games, it was time to go to my brother and sister-in-law's place for Christmas dinner! Before dinner though, we opened presents.

A few hours later, we ate!

Jared got me a Telus panda who now sits on my desk. :)

Part two of my present from Jared and Shanna was a ticket to Panic! at the Disco!!! I'm so excited!

They also got me Panic! at the Disco's new CD.. and my dad and Wendy surprised me with the deluxe versions of All Time Low and Fall Out Boy's newest CDs. Yeah, it was a good day. :)

December 24 | Christmas Eve Dinner

We had a very relaxing Christmas Eve! We had our traditional ham dinner, with scallop potatoes (pictured above!), homemade rolls, and green beans. 

It was delicious. :)

December 23 | Christmas Cards

I gave my family Christmas cards with little messages inside telling them how much they mean to me. :)

December 22 | Tradition

Every year, I make Jake pose in front of the Christmas tree.. it's a tradition. Of course I needed bread to help with that, though.

December 21 | Nintendo

Today was mostly spent playing video games. Ahhh, Christmas break, how I've missed you.

December 18 | Festive Doughnut

Nothing like getting into the spirit by going to Tim Hortons and getting chocolate candy cane doughnuts... only in Canada.

December 17 | Cozy

What does one do when they find their dog sleeping on the couch next to the tree all lit up? Quietly, without disturbing said dog, goes to get her tripod and quickly sets up the camera for this shot. Worth it. :)

December 16 | Clean

Today was spent cleaning my room. It got pretty cluttered.. so it needed a good clean up. I write my last exam tomorrow, and then I'm on Christmas break. Yes!

December 15 | Snow Day

Today was very much a snow day. 30 odd centimetres of snow fell today, so it was a nice day to stay inside and snap some pictures through snow-covered windows. 

It was also a nice day to decorate the Christmas tree.

December 14 | Santa Paws is Coming to Town

Jake's Santa hat was lost for a few years.. until it was found today among all the Christmas decorations. :)

December 13 | Santa's Milk & Cookies

Santa's Milk and Cookies ice cream is a Christmas tradition in this house. We get our tree tomorrow! Exciting!

December 12 | (Less than) Two Weeks

Less than two weeks to go! :)

December 11 | Studying

I had part one of a final today.. part two's tomorrow. Hence the studying. I have one more next Tuesday, and then I'm free! Accounting comes naturally to me, but even then, it's a lot of numbers. But that's okay. I like it. :)

And to go with all that studying, Gingerbread Oreos are a must. 'Tis the season, haha.

December 10 | The Land of Stories

I'm currently rereading one of my favorite series: The Land of Stories by none other than Chris Colfer. He is my favorite, seriously. His acting, his writing, his voice, his humor, his inspiring talent.. even his cat. The books are about these two kids (who are twins) that get trapped into the fairy tale world and have no way out... until they find the wishing spell.
I may be biased, but his books are just too funny and put you into this fairy tale world that you think is real once you get into those parts of the books. There are tons of plot twists to keep you reading, too. There's only two for now, but the third one is coming out next year! :) He's wonderful, and during exam week, rereading the books is the perfect way to de-stress. Also Netflix helps, too.

December 9 | Jake

I would have loved to take Jakey outside during the day since we got our first big snowfall today.. but sadly I have way too much school and exams going on now to do so. By the time I get home it's pitch black outside, so fun photo shoots in the snow will have to wait until next week. For now though.. have this cute face. :) 

December 8 | Wendy's Birthday

My dad and I gave Wendy her cards at midnight last night after going out for a wonderful dinner with family.. she cried reading both cards, which means my dad and I picked out some good ones, hehe. :)

December 7 | Christmas Playlist

Ahhhh, the time of year where my Christmas playlist comes out in full force. It's mostly the Glee Cast with some Straight No Chaser, Michael Buble and other random artists thrown in there. Can't wait to have it playing while the tree gets decorated next weekend!
