December 16 | O Christmas Tree

So, normally we get a real tree every year. This year that was not the case, since we won't really be home for Christmas (we're going to Wendy's sister's again!). We have a little one that hasn't been put up since my first Christmas 8 years ago (gasp! Has it really been that long?!).

So I took it upon myself to put it up in the living room. It was my first time putting a fake tree together.. and putting the lights on. I didn't really know what I was doing, but that's why instructions were invented.

It ended up being a little lopsided at first, but with a little re-distributing of the lights, it wasn't half bad for my first time. Next time we get a real one, maybe Wendy won't have to put up the lights for once, haha. :D

This is Jake. I got him for Wendy for her birthday last year. He adds some puppy love to the tree.

After decorating, a nice bowl of Santa's Milk & Cookies ice cream is in order. It's a tradition, we get it every year. It's the best.

This was the end result! It was a lot of fun.. especially while having Christmas music blasting. One more week of DPP! It's going so fast!
