Cottage Getaway

My mom and I went up to the cottage during the last weekend of July with the dogs. We went up on Friday for the day, and went back up again on Sunday. The dogs had a blast, and considering the fact that I haven't been there in three years, tons of pictures were taken. :)
Before we were off to the cottage though, we took a walk on Thursday around the block, and to the water.
She saw a bird. How cute is she?!
The first day we went up, it rained pretty much the entire day. It would stop, but then it would start pouring again. I did manage to get a few pictures, though!
I love seeing ducks when we're at the lake. :)
This is Daisy. She's my mom's boyfriend's dad's dog. She's a sweetheart!
It was a gloomy day, but the water was nice and calm!
When we went back on Sunday, we had nice blue skies, which was lovely. :)
After lunch, it was time for a boat ride! Peanut and Zoey LOVE the boat..Zoey actually tries to stand on the edge. It scares the crap out of me because I have visions of her falling off. Crazy dog!
We stopped at the sandbar so Peanut and Zoey can play a little bit! This is one of Peanut's favorite things to do. I swear she's in her glory here. The smile on her face, her eyes when she sees that ball go in the water, it makes me so happy to see her like that. <3
Zoey was never a huge fan of swimming, but she went pretty deep! What Zoey REALLY loves to do at the sandbar..
..is dig. Dig for HOURS. She can't figure out why the sand keeps going back in the hole. And when she digs near the water, she can't figure out why there's water coming out. She gets so confused. It makes me laugh. I love her so much haha.
Back on the boat!
We had beautiful skies that day.
I love it up there. I hope we get to go back one more time before summer is completely over. :) If not, well at least I went once! It was nice to go back after not being up for a while. And to see the smiles on my dogs' faces? Priceless. <3
