After a long, fun-filled day at SeaWorld, on Wednesday we were on our way back to Palmdale after doing a little shopping in San Diego. Thursday we did even more shopping in Palmdale, and I was successful at Hot Topic and got a few shirts. :)
Friday was the day I've been waiting for. Vans Warped Tour 2011 in Pomona! It was crazy hot, but it was all worth it in the end. Being pushed around in sweaty crowds and almost being trampled in a mosh pit doesn't sound fun... but really, I had a blast and it was definitely an experience!
The bands that were on my must-see list were Simple Plan, A Day To Remember and Relient K. The picture above is Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember. I'm really glad I finally got to see them live and they were awesome!
Simple Plan's set wasn't until 4:30 or so, so I spent about an hour in the shade taking pictures of the Warped Tour program. It made time pass by pretty quickly!
Right before Simple Plan's set, Relient K were on, which was awesome timing because I've been waiting forever to see Relient K live! And they played Be My Escape. YES. So good live.
About 10 minutes after Relient K got off stage, Simple Plan went on! THIS is when I got crushed... but hey, it was totally worth every minute. :)
Sadly I didn't get any pictures of Chuck because I was on the side and didn't see him at all. :(
Right after their set, Simple Plan had a signing at the AP tent. So I rushed down there and my friend was already waiting in line for me, so I was about 5th in line (yay!). I got my program signed by them on their band page. :)
Pierre was taking pictures with people..so of course I got one. :) Pierre gave me a hug, Seb asked me how I was and if I enjoyed the show, Chuck gave me a high five, David smiled at me, and Jeff said a huge thank you. I was smiling for the rest of the night!
I got an awesome Simple Plan bracelet at their merch tent. Sooo happy. :) It can join my All Time Low, Blink-182, Paramore, and Lady Gaga bracelets. :D
On the back from Pomona, we stopped, and I took pictures of the gorgeous California sunset.
We stopped again at a lookout point, so I took pictures of the beautiful view of Palmdale!
After lots of excitement and being outside all day, we were starving. What better way to fill that void than to fill it with SUSHI?! Yeah, thought so. :D
California roll: my personal favorite!
When we got back after dinner, I took pictures of my stuff. I'm gonna cut that out and put that on my wall somewhere.
My two new shirts I got at their merch tent. :)
That's pretty much it from my California trip! The rest of the pictures I have to post are from the plane ride home! Those will hopefully be up tomorrow!
