A Weekend Getaway

Last weekend, my family and I went to Plattsburgh, NY! We left Saturday morning, and came home Sunday afternoon. So, let pictures from the car ride begin!

Can't get through a car ride without my iPod and Simple Plan's new song blasting in my ears.

It takes roughly an hour to get to the border, and then another ten minutes to get to Plattsburgh, which isn't bad at all! 

So we got to Plattsburgh just in time for lunch at..

..Panera Bread! Steak and white cheddar cheese sandwich with mac and cheese? Yes please!

After lunch, we checked into our hotel room, stored all our bags in the room, and relaxed for a bit.

I had way too much fun with the big long mirrors behind the beds in the room, clearly.

So then we went to the mall, Wal-Mart and Price Chopper and went to Applebee's for dinner! We try to go to places that Canada doesn't have, haha. Sunday morning, we packed up, went for breakfast at the Homestead, made a last run to the mall, Wal-Mart and Price Chopper, got lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill (yum!) and went back home to Canada. Sorry for the lack of pictures, I completely forgot to take some while we were out eating. :D

I ended up getting a few CDs (All Time Low, Good Charlotte, Fall Out Boy), and season 1 of The Big Bang Theory. If you've never watched that show, you must.

Yesterday was my dad's birthday, so we had dinner, and had cake afterwards. :) It was a strange cake..I mean, who puts fruit and carrots in chocolate cake? Yeah, I don't know, either. 

So that was my weekend! It was a good one with lots of laughter and happiness, but sadly dog-less. Jakey was happy to see us when we got in though! :) That's all, folks!
