How-To: Chocolate Chip Cookies

On Sunday, I took pictures while Wendy was making chocolate chip cookies for a how-to post. They're quite yummy! (We made a double batch, so the pictures have more stuff than what normally goes into them for a regular batch).

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Lots of chocolate chips
  • Nuts (optional..but we used nuts this time)
Before you do anything, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Then, mix the brown sugar and regular sugar with the butter.

Once it's completely mixed, add the egg and vanilla and mix it well.

Once that's done, mix in the flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt and mix it until..

..you get this.

Then get your chocolate chips (and nuts, if you want)!

Stir them in good!

After mixing the chocolate chips, take a tablespoon and scoop the dough onto a greased cookie sheet.

Then bake them for 8-10 minutes.

Once they're out of the oven, take them off the cookie sheet right away and put them on a wire rack if you want them chewy!

Wait for them to cool...

...and grab one before they're gone! :)

And that ends this how-to! Hope you enjoyed!
